This Saturday, May 3, the group "Katarsis", which won the national EUROVIZIJA.LT selection, will travel to Switzerland.
The groups leaving for Basel will have an intense period ahead of the second Eurovision semi-final - rehearsals, meetings with fans and representatives from other countries.
This year's Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Basel from 13 to 17 May. Lithuania's song "Tavo akys" will take the stage as number 8 in the second semi-final on 15 May.
"As we head to Basel, we are really looking forward to seeing "Catharsis" on the big stage and wish the band the best of luck - the young people have put a lot of effort into their preparations, but the most important thing is still ahead of them."
Thank you to everyone who accompanied "Katarsis" to the contest and participated in the support campaign. I invite you to continue to keep an eye on the Lithuanian representatives - everyone who sends their eyes photographed or filmed can become part of the exclusive support of the group. From the received material, with the eyes supporting "Katarsis" on the air of LRT, we have already started counting the days until the start of "Eurovision" - the contest is inexorably approaching and soon the song "Tavo akys" will be heard by all of Europe," says Audrius Giržadas, head of the Lithuanian delegation to "Eurovision".
The main focus of this year's "Catharsis" support campaign is eyes.
The LRT team, which is traveling to Basel with "Katarsis", promises that viewers and readers will be treated to special live broadcasts, where they will be able to hear exclusive interviews with Lithuanian representatives by Ramūnas Zilnys.
As always, reports from Switzerland will also be available on the programs "Labas rytas, Lietuva" and "Laba diena, Lietuva", where you can expect the hottest news from rehearsals, behind the scenes of the opening ceremony, and exclusive content from the green delegation room.
