Shortly after the first semi-final on Tuesday, Eurovision was hit by trouble. Viewers began to complain about voting disruptions - they were unable to cast their votes for their favorite via text message during the event. Eurovision organizers also responded to this awkward situation.
The 10 finalists who will compete for the title on Saturday were revealed on Tuesday. However, the contest's most loyal viewers have no shortage of bitter words for the Eurovision organizers - when they voted for Croatia in the first semi-final, they received a message of approval and thanks for voting for Israel.
It is reported that such a misunderstanding may have been caused by the draw, according to which Croatia and Israel will appear in the 1st and 2nd semi-finals, respectively, in 14th place.
The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) confirmed to eurovoix.com that the vote for Croatia was correctly registered, although erroneous messages reached voters.
"Our voting partner Once has confirmed that votes registered in all countries participating in this year's first semi-final are valid. Some Norwegian voters received an incorrect notification when voting. The incorrect notification did not affect the results," the competition said.
