Tonight, May 15, Lithuanian representatives Katarsis successfully performed on stage at the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, and secured a place in the grand final. The group performed their song "Tavo akys", which has already become a hit in Lithuania and has received significant attention on the international stage.

"Catharsis" took to the stage with a visually striking and emotionally powerful number. Their performance was distinguished by its minimalist aesthetic, dark tones, and evocative vocals that conveyed the emotional depth of the song.
The band "Katarsis" won the right to represent Lithuania after winning the national selection "Eurovizija.LT 2025". In the final, held on February 15 at the Kaunas "Žalgiris" arena, they collected the most audience votes in the super final, ahead of Lion Ceccah and Liepa. Their song "Tavo akys" became the most popular in Lithuania, reaching first place in the country's music charts.
"Katarsis" is an alternative rock and post-punk band from Vilnius, formed in 2020. Its members are: Lukas Radzevičius (vocals, guitar), Alanas Brasas (guitar), Emilija Kandratavičiūtė (bass) and Jokūbas Andriulis (drums). The band became famous with the song "Vasarą galvoj minoras", and in 2024. released their debut EP "Dausos".
In the second semi-final, 16 countries competed for a place in the final: Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Latvia, Armenia, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Georgia, Denmark, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Israel, Serbia and Finland. Only ten of them made it to the final, including Lithuania.
