Lithuanian Eurovision fans have received good news - it has been revealed that Silvester Belt, who represented Lithuania in the international song contest this year, will also perform at Eurovision 2025, which will be held in Basel. The organizers have revealed more details about this unexpected, yet symbolic performance.
Silvester Belt will not be the only Eurovision 2024 contestant to return to the stage. He will be joined by Greece's Marina Satti, Portugal's Iolanda and Ukraine's Jerry Heil. All four artists will come together for a joint musical performance - they will perform Celine Dion's legendary song "Ne partez pas sans moi".
The song brought Switzerland victory in 1988, and Celine Dion herself became a global music star after this triumph. Swiss media announced that a special performance will be shown during the first semi-final and will be part of the interval show. The segment is intended to pay tribute to Switzerland's history in the context of Eurovision.
Lithuanians' return to the stage is a double surprise
Silvester Belt received huge support and memorable appreciation from the audience with his song "Luktelk" at this year's contest - his charisma and stage performance made him famous not only in Lithuania, but also throughout Europe. The fact that he is returning to the Eurovision stage in Basel shows that his performance left a strong impression on the international audience and the organizers.
We remind you that this year's Eurovision audience will see "The Roop" again. The group will perform the song "On Fire" - a song that won the national selection in 2020, but did not make it to the big stage due to the pandemic. This year they have the opportunity to make up for it and perform again in front of an audience of millions.
