Today, January 28, from 13:30 p.m. Lithuanian time, the semi-final draw of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast on the Youtube platform. The broadcast will be broadcast from the Swiss city of Basel, where the 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held.
The semi-final draw will determine which countries will appear and/or vote in the first or second semi-final. It will also be randomly assigned which countries will appear in the first or second part of the semi-final to which they are assigned.
All the countries "drawn" in the Eurovision draw are divided into 5 groups. The countries in these five groups will be drawn from different glass jars. The groups of countries are formed in such a way as to reduce the likelihood of the so-called neighborly vote and increase tension in the semi-finals. The first group includes 7 countries: Lithuania, Latvija, Estonia, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Czech Republic.
Switzerland, as the host country, will not participate in the semi-finals, along with the five "big five" countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom), but their viewers will have the opportunity to vote in one of them. Three of them will vote in the first semi-final, the other three in the second semi-final. Which of these countries will vote in which semi-final will be chosen at random.

The most important dates for the Eurovision Song Contest:
