The Wiwi Jury is an international team of music fans brought together by the website Wiwibloggs. Each year, before the Eurovision Song Contest, they evaluate all the participating songs and provide informal but insightful reviews.
Although this initiative is not an official part of the competition, it has already managed to gain widespread support from the fan community. In 2025, the Wiwi Jury will evaluate works from 37 countries. This time, their focus is on Lithuania and the band "Katarsis" with the song "Tavo Akys".
This year's Lithuanian selection is a dark, emotional piece that, according to the performers themselves, reflects their authentic style and emotional expression. Did the Wiwi Jury members like this bold move?
Team feedback
Scarlett Kao from the United States of America:
"Emo kids, unite – 'Your Eyes' is what you've been waiting for. In just a few words, 'Catharsis' paints an incredibly vivid, intense picture. Listening to this song is like diving into a hypnotic sea of color that swallows you up."
"Lukas' vocals convey pain, anger and despair, and the final cries of "you" are unforgettable. If the live performance is as intense, this could be one of the unexpected favorites."
Rating: 7/10
Antranig Shokayan from Armenia:
"The beginning really promised a lot - a dark, engaging atmosphere. However, everything else remains at the same level, does not change, does not surprise. For three minutes, the song simply exists without any dynamic line - like a flat line on an electrogram. Despite this, the voice is strong, and the visual image is impressive. And yet - the best recording from the Baltic States."
Rating: 3,5/10
Simon Falk from Denmark:
"This is probably the only real rock song in this year's competition. Although emo rock is not my favorite genre, this song has gained its charm over time. The chorus of "Yours, yours, yours" is infectious. I appreciate the craftsmanship, even if the music is too dark for me."
Rating: 6,5/10
Tom Hendryk from England:
"As the band's leader Lukas said, Lithuania chose an experiment. And I think it was a very right step. "Katarsis" is a brave, authentic band, and their performance in Basel will be memorable. I predict a guaranteed entry into the final. It is definitely worth watching."
Rating: 8/10
