Lithuania's hope for this year's Eurovision Song Contest - alternative music group Katarsis - officially took to the main stage of the competition in Basel on Monday. The first dress rehearsal took place here, during which the participants were able to test not only technical solutions, but also real stage conditions ahead of the most anticipated music event of the year in Europe.
Although Eurovision organizers traditionally keep details of performances secret until the last minute, this year fans received a special gift - after the first rehearsal, exclusive footage appeared online, giving a glimpse of what "Catharsis" will look like on stage.
The released images show that the Lithuanian representatives chose a dark, emotional visual style dominated by smoke effects, strong lighting, and powerful stage dynamics.
The Lithuanian delegation has repeatedly emphasized that the "Catharsis" performance is carefully thought out and created in such a way that it stands out both aurally and visually.
"It was like my first serious encounter with the stage. The stage is impressive, but it requires maximum concentration - there is simply no room for mistakes here," commented one of the delegation members.
