Following a number of large-scale fires in Lithuania recently, the National Crisis Management Center (NKMC) claims that the services are investigating why such incidents have become more frequent. According to the NKMC, there is no evidence yet that the recent fires are related to possible sabotage.
"Currently, investigators are doing their work and investigating the causes of the fires. There is no reliable data to link the fires that have attracted public attention in recent weeks and draw general conclusions or suspect acts of sabotage," the NKVC response sent to Elta states.
The NKVC stated that it is understandable that Russia's sabotage activities in Western countries may lead to speculation that the fires in Lithuania are related to the Kremlin's actions. However, as the NKVC reiterated, until there are conclusions from investigators, the fires should not be linked to the activities of Russian special services.
We want to ask, do you think the recent fires are acts of sabotage?
