Sirin Development, a developer and manager of industrial real estate in the Baltic States, has completed the construction of the first phase of the logistics center "J55" in Vilnius. To 20 sq. m warehouse, a total of 400 million was invested. euros.
According to UAB "Sirin Development" director Lauryn Kuzav, the logistics complex "J55" is being developed on a plot of 18,5 ha of land, which the company purchased through an auction from VĮ Turto bankas. Previously, the fuel storage facilities of the Lithuanian Oil Products Agency were located here: after dismantling the storage tanks and cleaning the area, the plot was adapted for the construction of a modern logistics center.
"According to Vilnius city municipalities general plan, the plot falls within the territory of business, production and industry, therefore it perfectly corresponds to the strategic goal of UAB "Sirin Development" - to develop modern storage and logistics facilities next to the main communication arteries in the major cities of Lithuania. Although brownfield investments are not a common case in Lithuania, we undertook the conversion project of this territory clearly seeing its potential - we were able to offer our customers storage and logistics facilities that maximally meet their needs", says L. Kuzavas.
The company "Palink" managing the retail chain "Iki", the company "VET55" providing professional animal care services, the online furniture trade group "Furniture1" operating under the name "Furniture1" and the shipping and decorative packaging materials trading company UAB "Supakuota".
Next to the "Gariūnai" business park, on Jočionių street, the developed area is on the first line from the main Lithuanian highway A1 (Vilnius-Kaunas) and A19 (Vilnius southern bypass). It is expected that the total investment in the developed logistics center will reach 70 million. euros, and a total of 103 square meters will be developed in four stages. m of storage, commercial and administrative premises for rent.
