The submission of tenders for the construction of the Tolminkiemi gymnasium and Lazdynai swimming pool has been completed

Today, January 14, the deadline for submitting proposals for the purchase of the construction works of the Tolminkiem Gymnasium and the completion of the construction works of the Lazdynai swimming pool ended. Vilnius city municipalities The administration had announced an international open procurement of contract works for the planned Tolminkiemi high school in the Pilaitė micro-district.

"Both projects are critically important to us. As far as possible from our side, we have managed and will continue to manage the procurement process in a quality and transparent manner. Within 2-3 months, we have to sign the contracts with the future winners. We expect respect from the market participants for the tender organizers and the customer and for each other. We ensure that the best offers will win", says Povilas Poderskis, director of the Vilnius City Municipality Administration.

The tender for the construction works of the Tolminkiemi gymnasium, which will be built in the Pilaitė microdistrict, received proposals from 7 contractors. The tender for the completion of the Lazdynai multi-purpose wellness center attracted 3 contractors' proposals. If there are no complaints and the procedures go smoothly, the winners of both tenders could be announced in the early spring in an optimistic scenario.

Tolminkiemi high school

Architectural studio "DO Architects", which won the Vilnius City Municipality competition, designed a four-story, 12 thousand. sq. meter high school, where 1000 students will be able to study. The school was designed using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology.

Already while preparing the technical project and constantly responding to the comments of the community and the changing regulations of the education sector, it was decided to increase the area for sports activities. When specifying the project, special attention was paid to the section of Tolminkiemi Street between Vydūnos St. and Pilaitė Ave. The street section was designed not only along the school plot, but all the way to Pilaitė avenue. The street has designed parking spaces for residents, school guests, pedestrian and bicycle paths with lighting, high-quality landscaping solutions.

The team of the DO Architects studio also notes the exceptional design process, when the project progress was taken care of by a working group made up of the municipality, architects, schoolchildren, and active community representatives. Visualizations and project proposals of the school were presented to the interested public in 2019. at the end of November.

Lazdynai multifunctional wellness center

The newly awarded contractor of the multi-functional Lazdynai Health Center in Vilnius will have to complete the construction of the center. The former bankrupt contractor has completed about 40% of the work. of all works provided for in the contract. After the termination of the contract with the bankrupt contractor, in February of last year, a public consultation with the construction sector organized by the municipality attracted a lot of interest from contractors.

The Lazdynai multifunctional wellness center will have one of the most modern swimming pools in the Baltic States, 50 and 25 m long. The eight-lane 50-meter pool will be for swimming, and the 25-meter pool will be for diving. The center will have not only a swimming pool complex, but also training halls. There will be 1200 seats for spectators next to the swimming pools. Modern changing rooms, modern showers, and 105 places near the building will await the visitors of the center. parking lot.

The Lazdynai basin will have a system of lifting bottoms, which allows to modify spaces, i.e. depth and volume, as well as an automatic accident prevention system that has no analogues in Lithuania. In the pool, jumpers will be able to feel safe, as the latest technologies (protection against injuries) will be installed: a water softening system and protective fountains. An extremely modern water filtration system based on nano technology will also be installed, and a modern and convenient LED light board system will be installed for the comfort of the spectators.
