A very economical, innovative and eco-friendly building will open its doors in the autumn of this year on the street of scientists. It is one of the first industrial buildings with offices of A++ energy class in Lithuania. It is expected that in full operation of the building all the energy needed will come from renewable resources.
"This building is not connected to the city's central heating. It is a new generation building that can live on its own with the help of geothermal heating and solar power plants. The building only needs an electrical input to be able to perform production functions," says Vidmantas Janulevičius, chairman of the board of high-tech companies Global BOD Group.
More than 800 kW of solar modules are integrated on the roof and facade of the building. Thus, during the summer, almost all of the building's electricity needs will be burned, including the electricity needed for production processes. This building has zero CO2 emissions, and its economic operating costs will be really much lower, since all the necessary energy will come from renewable resources.
It is estimated that even in the event of a power outage, the building would be able to perform its heating and cooling functions for about a week from its accumulated thermal and electrical energy.
Innovative companies will be established
The new building of the Global BOD Group will open its doors already this fall, construction is already underway interior works. The building of the highest energy efficiency class provides rooms for different purposes - offices, science, medical, production and storage.
The building will house research companies such as Caszyme and Nomads. Medicina Practica UAB will also have its own research laboratory.
It is planned that dental and family clinics, massage and beauty salons will operate in the building. The SoliTek company will develop energy storage devices and batteries in the building.
iLunch, which will open the first restaurant of the new concept, joins the establishment of innovative companies in the new generation building.
On the roof of the building, there will be a terrace for the needs of the tenants, and in the basement of the building there will be a modern hideout with all the necessary equipment and systems.
