The Vilnius Development Company announces an open architectural competition for the Pavilni community house, Garsioji st. 3, reconstructions. As part of the project, public spaces and approaches to them will also be updated. The end of the entire project is expected in 2027. IV quarter.
"After the implementation of this project, we will create a point of attraction and a gathering place for both local residents and visitors to Pavilni. The community house will have a collaboration area, a reading room, a children's room, event and rehearsal halls, and other employment spaces. We have not forgotten the plot nearby, which will be adapted for active outdoor recreation", says the mayor of Vilnius Valdas Benkunskas.
Currently, a new community center that meets the needs of the community and Vilnius residents is planned to be built on the site of the library building in an emergency condition in Pavilni. In the course of the project, it is planned to create a modern spacious reading room, an employment space for children and youth, infrastructure for cultural events and recreation. A common public space will be built around the building. Future designers are required to install walking paths, recreation areas, and outdoor play areas. Provide outdoor meeting spaces that could be used as outdoor classrooms. Spaces should be divided into different zones: for seniors, mothers with children, teenagers, events and other community needs.
"We are organizing an open architectural competition in order to find the most suitable and high-quality design solutions for Pavilnis community houses. It is nice to see that more and more designers are participating in the competitions organized by our company. This time they will be given the task of qualitatively integrating the building and its environmental solutions into the surrounding area in an architectural and urban context, taking into account the existing vegetation and landscape features," says Laurynas Kazarauskas, project manager of the Vilnius development company.
A prize fund will be awarded to the winners of open architectural competitions. First place winners will receive 11 thousand. euros, the second - 9 thousand. euros, and the third - 6 thousand. euros.
