The Bank of Lithuania (LB) is preparing to renovate its headquarters located in the center of Vilnius, on Gediminas Avenue and Totorių Streets.
The Central Bank of the country has announced the purchase of a feasibility study for the redevelopment of a complex of buildings in the center of the capital, for which bids are expected until August 21. The purchase documents indicate that the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems of the bank buildings do not meet the requirements, so they need to be updated.
"Gedimin Ave. The complex of 6 buildings uses energy-inefficient engineering systems that require constant repair, in order to abandon the rented premises, the number of jobs should be increased," LB commented to BNS.
According to the bank, at the moment it is not yet known how its activities would be organized during the works, this will become clear when a decision on the renovation of the complex is made.
The preliminary price of the works and their deadline are also not yet known.
"The possible maximum cost of the reconstruction will be considered after having prepared a feasibility study," said LB.
The project is to be financed with the funds of the Bank of Lithuania.
