November 13 the awards of the 2019 interior architecture competition "My Space" were presented at the National Art Gallery. The co-course was organized for the fifth year by the Lithuanian Architects' Union and "Lietuvos ryto" media group.
Traditionally, the international commission of this competition selects the interiors in advance and inspects them "live" before making a decision. This year, architects Martin Thörnblom (owner of Studio Thörnblom – Büro für Innenarchitektur, vice-president of the Austrian Association of Interior Architects, president of the European Council of Interior Architects), Tatu Ahlroos (architect of Synopsis architects, chairman of the Finnish Association of Interior Architects) and Ralf Lõoke (Salto architects) founder and partner, Estonia) managed to visit almost 20 objects throughout Lithuania in two days. According to them, the following interiors are the best this year:
House
Apartment
Office
Public space
The Commission also singled out the public spaces of UAB Ekspoziciju sistemos business center Park Town and the Lonas showroom of 2XJ Architects.
