In a prestigious location, on T. Kosciuška street, the "ghost" - the building of the old fire station - will be resurrected. The reconstruction work that started in the unused building attracted incredible public attention.
The building is included in the Register of Cultural Values
The building of the old fire station, located on the border of Senamiestis and Antakalnis, is an architectural monument of local significance, registered in the Register of Cultural Values since 2013.
"I dare to call this facility undeservedly forgotten and abandoned. The building of the old fire station was in a rather dilapidated condition. Now it will be reconstructed, its historical authentic appearance will be preserved, all values will be preserved and updated. The new owners of the building are working intensively to restore this unique place in the city to its lost charm", says Julita Petravičienė, real estate broker of the real estate agency "Capital Centras".
The firehouse building is an architectural monument of local significance, registered in the Register of Cultural Values since 2013.
A historical one will be revived in a reconstructed house in an exclusive location apartment building with shops, medical institutions and administrative premises. "The original historical purpose of this building will be restored," said broker Patricija Bubulaitė.
The building is from the XNUMXth century
The building of the old fire station on T. Kosciuška Street was built back in 1885. The house with rented apartments and shops belonged to the landlord Justin Konopackis. The fire station in this building was established in the Soviet era, in 1940.
For a long time, the fire department used old cars, because the new generation more modern ones were bigger, so they could not fit inside the premises and through the entrance gate. Due to the architectural requirements of heritage protection, it was not possible to properly adapt the building to fire station activities. Therefore, in 2011, the fire station was closed, and the firefighting team was moved to a new modern building built near the Šilo bridge.

The reconstructed building will revive a historic apartment building with shops, medical facilities and administrative premises.
Reconstruction works are currently underway in the building, using the latest technologies to restore the historic building, which, upon completion, will be modern, smart, meeting the needs of today's discerning resident.
"Everything that has been approved as a cultural asset will be preserved: decoration and decoration of facades, plinth walls of outdoor stone masonry with pressed pebbles in mortar, decoration of columns, crowning cornice of yellow brick masonry, railings of balconies and terraces, round openings of the tower and other values," he said. Mr. Bubulaitė.

From the tower - 360 degrees panorama
The building with a tower, from which you can see not only the Gediminas Castle and the river, but the entire panoramic view in 360 degrees, is the only one in Vilnius.
"That tower used to be for firefighters to watch where the smoke was coming from." Now it will be equipped with a 5-room apartment with a spiral staircase on 3 levels and with a panorama of the city in all directions," said J. Petravičienė.
The purpose of the two-story building will be mixed - 8 apartments and 7 commercial premises are designed for it.
Administrative premises are designed on the noisier, but more useful and more visible side of the street for business.
Further from the street, the residential premises are equipped with 2 to 5 room apartments, the area of which will be from 36 to 135 square meters.
First floor apartments will have terraces, others will have balconies. Parking spaces are planned in the inner yard, some of them will be covered with a canopy. A big advantage in the city center is a spacious inner green yard with a fully fenced area.
"Everything is adapted for a comfortable life: near a public transport stop, children's educational institutions, just five minutes away from the Cathedral, a nearby river with walking and cycling paths", real estate experts mentioned the advantages of the apartments.
