Renewable energy experts observe growing business interest in modern energy saving solutions. More and more companies are becoming consumer producers – purchasing or leasing solar power plants. An example of this trend is at the beginning of July between "Energy Solutions Center" (ESC) and real estate investment company "Males"an agreement was signed for a pilot solar power plant project on the roof of the new Business Stadium West (BSW) business center in Vilnius.
In the business center being built in the center of Vilnius, on Rinktinės Street, the installation of a 1000 sq.m. 80 kW solar power plant has already begun. It is planned to be completed at the end of September. At the same time, a visual data recording system will be installed, which will be used to monitor the ecological impact of the power plant.
It is planned that the solar power plant will meet about 5 percent of Business Stadium West will meet the annual electricity demand of the building and will reduce the overall energy costs of the business center tenants.
"The implementation of green solutions in both residential and commercial real estate projects is the strategic direction of our company. We believe that the solar power plant built on the roof of the business center will not only directly contribute to the energy efficiency of the entire building, but will also symbolize the direction in which the entire real estate market should move - solutions that are friendly to nature and the city, based on technological progress," says the real estate investment manager. assets, chairman of the board of Hanner company Arvydas Avulis.
The solar module project is implemented by choosing the PPA (power purchase agreement) financing model. The value of the solar modules of the business center is about 60 thousand. euros.
This project is implemented by Lietuvos Energija group company ESC ("Energy Solutions Center"), which takes care of the installation of solar power plants with PPA or ESCO models and encourages companies to implement efficient energy consumption solutions.
"The rental option PPA is an extremely useful solution for business, when the result is produced green electricity, which is needed here, now and at a competitive price. And the ESCO model is suitable for those who want to install a solar power plant without initial investment, which would become their property after the contract period", notes Karolis Proscevičius, ESC sales manager.
