A new “Meliva” – “Kardiolitos klinikų” Rehabilitation Center has opened its doors in Vilnius, at Ulonų g. 2, where patients will receive a wide range of physical medicine and rehabilitation services. This new location marks a strategic step in developing the company’s goal of providing the necessary healthcare services at any stage of a patient’s recovery.
"The opening of the new center is an important step in expanding the availability of rehabilitation services in the capital. Our goal is to ensure that every patient who needs help in their recovery receives it quickly, professionally and with sincere care. It is extremely important for us to be closer to the person at all stops on the recovery journey. A personalized approach allows us to ensure not only an effective, but also a targeted recovery process - from the first visit to the complete restoration of the patient's functions," says Laura Penikienė, head of the multi-profile clinic "Meliva".
Focus on convenience and emotional comfort
The location of the rehabilitation center was chosen based on clear criteria - the most important thing was to ensure convenient transportation and a safe, comfortable environment for patients. Ulonai Street is easy to reach both by public transport and by car. There is a spacious parking lot nearby, so arriving at the clinic is convenient for everyone - both elderly patients and families with children.
"Until now, for many residents of Vilnius or the surrounding areas, rehabilitation services have meant long waiting times or complicated logistics. By opening this center, we are addressing these challenges and providing people with the opportunity to receive quality care faster, closer to home. This means that patients will no longer have to waste time traveling to the city center or coordinating routes between different medical institutions - services will be available quickly and conveniently, even during the working day," says Ligita Putnaitė-Čapskienė, Head of the Rehabilitation Center of "Meliva" - "Kardiolitos klinikas".
One of the most advanced rehabilitation centers in Lithuania
The new rehabilitation center is equipped with some of the most advanced physiotherapy and movement therapy equipment in Lithuania. This technology allows for a highly accurate assessment of the patient's condition and the development of individualized treatment programs tailored to specific needs.
The center provides a wide range of services: from classic individual physiotherapy to modern technological solutions, such as high-class shock wave therapy, electrotherapy, lymphatic drainage massage, light and color therapy or mud applications. It also provides consultations with a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, consultations with a sports medicine doctor, and performs tests - veloergometry, spiroveloergometry, and body composition analysis.
"An important goal of the center is to provide comprehensive assistance to people for whom rehabilitation is an essential step towards a quality life after serious health challenges. The greatest attention is paid to patients after orthopedic, neurosurgical or traumatological operations, as well as to older people for whom it is important to maintain or restore independence, and to those who actively participate in sports and are looking for a quick, effective recovery," emphasizes L. Putnaitė-Čapskienė.
Some of the best specialists in their field – in one center
The rehabilitation center employs more than 15 highly qualified specialists - a sports medicine doctor, physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors, physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, masseurs, physiotherapist assistants, and administrative staff.
"One of the biggest advantages of our center is interdisciplinary cooperation. Here we work as a unified team, in which specialists from different fields - doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and others - closely exchange information and coordinate the course of treatment. Such an integrated approach allows us to comprehensively assess the patient's condition and ensure a consistent, targeted recovery process, especially in cases where rehabilitation requires more time and complex solutions," notes L. Penikienė.
Another important advantage of the center is the wide availability of services. Rehabilitation services here will be provided both to people who apply independently, and to those who have been prescribed treatment by a family doctor or specialist. Patients with a referral will be provided with state-compensated rehabilitation services.
