There are two weeks left until the official "Michelin" guide presentation, during which we will find out which Lithuanians restaurants deserved gastronomy stars. Information about the coming of the Michelin guide to Lithuania is already published on the official website, from which we can learn more details about this international rating.
Lithuania is the last country in the Baltic region visited by Michelin representatives. June 13 it will be revealed who the lucky ones are. However, we can already read on the "Michelin" page that the representatives of this international rating visited not only Vilnius, Beautiful, but also Klaipėda, on the seashore, also visited Traki. Therefore, it is likely that exactly in Trakai they tasted nothing but kibins.
"While traveling, the members of the "Michelin" commission tasted classic and modern dishes - from local origin to French, Italian and Indian; from bagels at the market to sample tasting menus showcasing the best of regional and seasonal produce," the Michelin article reads.
It can be understood from this that the commission visited the market in Halle, where they tasted bagels. Also, the guide visited not only Lithuanian restaurants, but also restaurants representing other countries.
Who deserves a Michelin star and will be included in the guide will be revealed on June 13. In the Shoppers' Club, where the guide's presentation will take place.
"By presenting the Lithuanian guide, we will complete the list of Michelin recommendations for the Baltic countries and provide detailed information about the highest quality restaurants in the region. The new guide will reveal the uniqueness of Lithuanian restaurants, spread the word about the country's talented chefs and allow them to continue cultivating passion, creativity and respect for local culinary traditions. At the moment, our inspectors are finishing selecting the first restaurants, the list of which we can't wait to share with gourmets from all over the world", said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, about Lithuanian gourmet restaurants.
The Michelin guide is a prestigious publication evaluating the world's best restaurants, since 1900. allowed in France.
