The technology center of the British bank "Barclays" in Vilnius does not yet have any expansion plans, says one of the department heads.
"In Lithuania, Barclays has focused on the scale we achieve in the country. (…) We are currently looking at how the bank will need to be managed in the future, so there are no expansion plans in Lithuania", said Mariano Andrade Gonzalez, executive director of the Barclays operations center in Lithuania, at the press conference of the mentoring program "Women Go Tech" on Tuesday.
"Barclays" technology center in Vilnius started operating in May 2010. The Barclays IT center is located in the Green Hall center on the right bank of the Neris. In 2014, Barclays opened a human resources management center in the Gama Business Center, located near Oz Park and the Siemens Arena.
Now Barclays employs more than 1,1 people in Vilnius. workers.
