European platform for ride-hailing servicesBolt” presents a new home delivery app called Bolt Food in Tallinn on Wednesday. The company founded in Estonia intends to introduce the service in other European and African cities this year.
"More than 25 million people use our platform. people around the world, and food delivery has been one of their most popular requests for some time now. In order to create an easy-to-use and reliable platform for our customers, we had to develop the necessary technology for a long time. Fortunately, we were able to adapt the new service to the global transportation infrastructure and use the experience we have here," said Bolt's chief service director Jevgenijus Kabanovas.
The new service will require customers to download the Bolt Food app, which will suggest nearby restaurants based on the user's location. Bolt Food will offer free delivery at launch.
The platform currently offers delivery from 80 restaurants in central Tallinn. In the future, it is planned to expand the offer of restaurants and include new microdistricts of the city, reports the company.
"Bolt Food" will start operating in Lithuania this year, in Latvia and South Africa, and in the 2020s in other European and African cities.
