The release of the quarantine was widely celebrated by Lithuanians in bars and shopping centers, according to the consumption data of the financial platform Revolut, which has more than 300 customers in Lithuania.

Average 3,5 cups

After the permission to serve customers outside, cafes and bars took effect on Thursday, Revolut users spent 2,5 times more than last Thursday. The average amount spent by one customer in bars was 12 euros (or 3,5 glasses). The most active visitors to bars are men aged 25-34. Spending in restaurants and public catering establishments was 50 percent on Thursday. higher than a week ago.

However, compared to a normal Thursday before the pandemic, spending in bars and restaurants is still almost half as much - this was probably influenced by significantly tightened rules for visiting bars, limited working hours and, as it were, intentionally bad weather.

Expenditure on jewelry, clothes, and shoes increased at times

And when Revolut shopping centers opened on Monday, the costs of customers in Lithuania were as much as 32 percent. higher compared to a normal Monday before the start of the pandemic. However, it seems that customers longing for supermarkets have overtaken grocery stores this time, where they spent almost a fifth less on Monday.

The biggest increase in expenses was recorded in jewelry, watch and accessory stores, where expenses increased by as much as 426 percent, and one customer spent an average of 180 euros. Compared to a normal Monday before the pandemic, 229 percent was spent in footwear stores. more, on average 58 euros per customer, in children's stores - 215 percent. more, on average 47 euros.

In clothing stores, compared to a normal Monday before the pandemic, spending was 145 percent. higher, where one user spent an average of 40 euros. Sporting goods stores also received more visitors, where 135 percent of sales were spent. more, an average of 59 euros during one shopping trip. In household appliances and electronics stores, spending doubled, on average one customer spent 60 euros shopping.

Topo centro, Sportland, H&M and Pepco stores were among the top 10 stores in addition to large grocery chains. The most active shopping hours are 17 a.m. in the morning, as soon as shopping centers open their doors, and from XNUMX p.m. in the evening.
