The largest construction, repair and household goods chain in the Baltic States, managed by "Senukai", is implementing a strategic innovation development plan worth almost 100 million euros, and is updating its online store "Old people.lt".
According to Ana Parafinaiė, Head of Kesko Senukai Digital for the Baltics, one of the company's main goals is to provide an easier, more convenient and faster shopping experience for customers.
"We aim to make it easy and quick for customers to find and purchase goods in our e-store. We believe that the innovations will meet the expectations of our customers and ensure an even better shopping experience," says A. Parafinaiė.
The first phase of the e-store renovation is currently complete. The second phase will include changes to the shopping cart. The company plans to complete it in the second half of the year.
According to A. Parafinaiė, customers can expect a more attractive website design, faster search, and a clearer product catalog. The mobile version of the website has also been optimized, making it even more convenient to use on smart devices.
Taking into account the needs of buyers, more detailed filtering tools have also been implemented, for example, from now on buyers will be able to filter products by delivery date. The updates provide customers with a more convenient and clearer product page structure, easier access to publications, and personalized product offers.
"We were looking for solutions that would be clear and intuitive for customers. We paid close attention to the recommendations of the international user experience (UX) research institute Baymard Institute, and also took into account the experience of global e-commerce leaders. We tested various options, monitored customer behavior, and implemented the most successful solutions," says a company representative.
For the convenience of customers, the online store now also better presents multi-channel shopping options. Information is more clearly presented next to the products, in which physical "Senukai" stores the relevant products are available, customers are offered filtering by the selected store and the remaining products in them. Customers can also create wish lists and plan their purchases more easily.
Last September, Senukai approved a strategic innovation development plan, which foresees investments of almost 2030 million euros in artificial intelligence, process automation tools, robotization, and cybersecurity by 100.
The online store "Senukai.lt" has been operating since 2009, currently offering customers an assortment of more than 550 thousand different products, which is constantly being expanded.
