As early as next week, it will be possible to buy appliances and electronics in self-service terminals in Lithuania. Topo centras will be the first in the Baltic countries and one of the first in Europe to implement such a technical solution among electronics sellers. The uniqueness of the installed self-service terminals is the ability to see and purchase a product in any network store.
"Self-service is definitely an element of the future of retail, and next week we will take an intermediate step on the way to a fully self-service store. Compared to the solutions implemented on the market, we are the first to provide the opportunity to buy not only what you can take away immediately, but also any product available in any Topo centro store or central warehouse. People want the maximum assortment and our self-service solution will ensure this and become a standard in household and electronics stores", says Remigijus Štaras, CEO of Topo centro.
The largest segment of self-service shoppers is the minute-by-minute saver, typically shopping right after work or on their lunch break. Such people will be able to leave the store with the product after 50-60 seconds.
"Another segment identified during the research is those who do not want contact with sellers for various reasons. The large retail chains provide such an opportunity and have already accustomed thousands of people to preserve their privacy while shopping, not to feel rushed by other people standing in line to quickly pick up goods or pay," analyzes the CEO of "Topo centro".
Based in Vilnius, Ukmergė st. With self-service solutions in 240 stores and other good experiences, Topo centras has planned the largest investment in its history in the development of new generation stores this year. "If the macroeconomic and consumer forecasts do not change, this year we will invest 1.500.000 euros in the conversion of new generation stores," asserts R. Štaras.
This store has already installed 500 electronic labels, the number of which will triple in the next week. Many other cutting-edge solutions are also being implemented to create an exceptional shopping experience. According to the general director, Topo centro stores become an example for thousands of stores belonging to the Euronics International network.
