In execution Lithuanian army modernization and strengthening its capabilities, the Defense Resources Agency under the Ministry of National Defense on December 8. signed a contract with UAB "Autovici" for the purchase of "Peugeot Dangel Expert" multifunctional minibuses with an increased capacity of up to 127 units.
These passenger-cargo 4×4 minibuses will be intended for the National Defense Volunteer Forces of the Lithuanian Army (KASP). They will be distributed among all KASP national teams located throughout the territory of Lithuania.
Minibus "Peugeot Dangel Expert 4×4" is an extended-passenger, eight-seater, M1 class passenger car. If necessary, all seats in the passenger compartment can be removed or rotated 180 degrees, thus making the minibus suitable for transporting small loads. The car is equipped with a reinforced battery and generator, a second battery with a disconnect relay for powering additional equipment is installed, as well as a heater for heating the car interior and the outdoor tent. Thanks to additional equipment, the minibus can be used as a mobile field command post if necessary.
All minibuses that meet the established requirements will be delivered to KASP within 1,5 years. The value of the contract is about 6 million. euros.
