In 2023, MadeinVilnius wrote about the real estate development company UAB "Males" organized a competition. It aimed to select the best idea for a multifunctional quarter in the Northern Town. The quarter would be built in the area at the intersection of Verkės and Lukšios streets. Three works were submitted to the competition, although six architectural companies were invited to participate in the competition.
According to the decision of the committee that evaluated the works, the architectural competition was won by the proposal of "Eventus pro" architects. In addition to the winners, "10 Fingers" and "Architektų biuras G. Natkevičius ir partneriai" also participated in the "Eventus Pro" competition.
New quarter with 455 apartments
The construction of the block is planned to be implemented in two stages, with 10029,68 mXNUMX of floor space planned for the block.2 underground garage with 351 parking spaces. Two 1,6-4-storey buildings will be built on a 7 ha plot apartment buildings, which will form two enclosed courtyards and an open public space in the middle. The block will contain 455 apartments, the first floors will be dedicated to commercial activities.
"Construction is planned in two phases: The first phase would consist of the construction of apartment building residential building with underground car parking and engineering systems (inputs) necessary for the functioning of the building. The apartment building will consist of buildings A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
The second stage would be the construction of an apartment building No. "2" with an underground car park and engineering systems necessary for the functioning of the building. The apartment building will consist of H, I, J, K, L, M, N buildings," the project proposals state about the phasing of future construction.
It is planned that investments in this project will reach up to 50 million euros. True, it was previously planned that the buildings would be eight-story, and the aforementioned buildings were to contain 537 apartments.
