An impressive, modern 18-meter high observation tower is planned to be built in Šnipiškės. It would appear in the space between Giedraičiai, Kinta and Kaltanėnai streets. This convenient and close to the center location is currently underutilized, so after building an observation tower and tidying up the space nearby, installing pavilions for trade, exercise equipment and children's playgrounds, it is expected to fully revive the extremely attractive city space. The idea of the tower was proposed by the residents themselves, and the construction of the new square should start next year.
It would be the first observation tower in Vilnius, it would be made of metal and wooden structures, similar to those built recently in the country's national and regional parks.
Currently, in the planned area of the observation tower and public spaces in Šnipiškės, a campaign to clean up old garages is taking place.
