A new block of apartment buildings is being planned in the Old Town district, next to Drujas street. The latest project proposals indicate that three floors with attics would be built apartment buildings home They also provide commercial and recreational facilities. On the plot K. Vanagelio st. 11, the cultural heritage object, the administrative building, which was built in 1936, is planned to be reconstructed.
A new peatery alley
"Buildings A and B will be three stories tall with attics and basements. On the underground floors, under the building A in plot no. 11, a three-story underground car storage, bicycle storage and other basement rooms are being designed. Apartments, commercial premises and recreational facilities are being designed on the first floor of the buildings. Residential apartments are being designed on the second floor. Apartments are being designed on the third floor. Some of them, in building B, are two-story, combining the rooms of the third and attic floors. Residential apartments are being designed on the attic floor," the design proposals state.
The design proposals also indicate that the newly designed pedestrian alley on K. Vanagelio street and between the blocks of the multi-apartment residential building will connect M. Daukša and Druja streets. A separate capital repair project is planned to harmoniously incorporate the existing historical buildings at Drujas st. and manage their access.
