A construction permit was obtained for a new football stadium near the Lazdynai Hospital

Vilnius city municipalities the administration issued a building permit for the reconstruction of the football stadium and grandstand Lazdynas, as well as for the construction of sports and catering buildings.

"There is a registered stadium and a grandstand on the site, which will be reconstructed with this project. The location and size of the stadium will be adjusted, the stands will be covered with a roof from the sun and rain. Additionally, temporary structures are planned - a temporary structure for catering purposes and a temporary structure for sports purposes, which will complement the activities carried out in the territory. The structures will be manufactured in a factory or built from prefabricated structures. The structures will be able to be dismantled or moved to another location. The buildings will not have foundations, but will be based on the surface of the earth," the project proposals say about future works.

Construction of two additional structures is planned

"The temporary building for the catering purpose is being designed next to the stands. The intended activity of the building is an outdoor cafe for guests, spectators, and the community. A temporary sports building is being designed in the southern part of the plot next to the approach to the stadium. The temporary structure will be centered in relation to the site. On the first floor, there are comfortable changing rooms, a lounge, a gym, and auxiliary rooms. Administration is planned on the second floor. A roof terrace is also being designed on the second floor, accessible to all visitors to the area. The terrace will offer a view of the stadium," the design proposals say.

The design proposals also indicate that the eastern part of the plot, which is closest to Bukčiai street, is planned to be abundantly planted. This will be the representative side of the territory, which will be emphasized with plants and elements of small architecture. The remaining part, where there are no hard surfaces, is planned to be planted with lawn.
