Vilnius University Santara Clinics Children's Hospital will have a new Pediatric building in three years. It was sold for 13,88 million. will be built by the Vilnius construction company Veikmės statyba, and the total value of the project is 24 million. euros.
As Jolanta Normantienė, Head of the Communication Service of Santaras Clinics, told BNS, after the construction of the new building, expensive diagnostic and treatment equipment will not be duplicated.
"After the construction of this building, the infrastructure of the Children's Hospital would basically be concentrated on one side of Santariškiau Street: the work of the intensive therapy and admission-emergency department will no longer be duplicated, and a general Children's Consultation Polyclinic will be established in one building. Also, the flow of outpatient and inpatient patients will be separated, diagnostic services and doctors' offices will be more conveniently located," J. Normantienė told BNS.
Three-storey 9,8 thousand. sq. meters of total area, it is planned to install 126 beds in the Pediatric building.

According to J. Normantienė, in the future, all buildings should be connected by underground and above-ground connections, so that patients can be safely and quickly transferred from one building of clinics to another.
The entire development of the hospital is financed from the State Investment Program and the assets of the Property Bank.
