A new phase of development is starting in the Visoriai information technology park - a construction permit has been issued for the new innovation, research and laboratory center developed by "BOD GROUP" and construction work has begun. Investments in the development of this laboratory complex will amount to about 22,4 million. Eur. The innovative building will provide itself with heat and coolness, the solar power plant installed on the facade and roof of the building will produce all the electricity necessary to maintain the building.
In the new scientific research and innovation center, BOD GROUP will establish a laboratory complex, including a new generation energy storage development center, where innovative batteries and storage units adapted to the needs of the domestic user, transport and industry will be developed.
"This center is an important and organic step in the development of our group of companies. We continue to follow the path of vertical integration in all segments of our business and create a consistent chain from technology research, through manufacturing, products and services to the end user.
Without a doubt, the group has high requirements for the quality of the building and the competences of its partners, it was important for us that the designers and other departments work using the most advanced tools and technologies, because in the engineering sense the building is really complex", says Martynas Rusteika, Head of Communication at BOD GROUP.
The construction project was prepared by the company "Baltic Engineers", which will also oversee the project execution process. Baltic Engineers designed and managed the construction of the Continental plant Beautiful, Dovistas window production town, and also designed the territory and engineering networks of the Mo Museum of Modern Art.
"We like complex projects - in them we can best realize the experience and skills of our team and create great value for clients. "BOD GROUP" paid special attention to the design stage of the building, the precise preparation of the construction project, which can only be achieved when working with 3D platforms. This is a necessary condition for the maximum elimination of errors during the construction itself. After all, design mistakes at the construction stage are very expensive and can even irreparably damage the quality of the building, especially when the project is so complex," says Darius Kvedaras, CEO of Baltic Engineers.
The building will be self-sufficient in energy
The BOD GROUP scientific research and laboratory center building will provide heat and coolness by itself - an innovative system of geothermal wells and heat pumps will be able to cover the needs of the building.
"Most of the geothermal wells will be installed under the building, so the system will be extremely compact, not requiring the area of the plot. Geothermal energy will ensure not only the heating of the building in the cold season, but also the basic cooling of the premises when the weather warms up. As many as 16 ventilation systems with heat exchangers have been designed for ventilation of the building - this is important in order to ensure the necessary indoor climate in the laboratories and research center", says D. Kvedaras.
The new generation solar power plant, which will be installed on the roof and integrated into the facade of the building, will produce a large part of the electricity required for the building.
A++ energy class, 5 floors, 33 thousand. sq. The construction of the innovation, research and laboratory center with an area of m is starting this month, the completion of the work is expected in 2022. In the end. About 200 jobs for high-tech specialists will be created in this technology complex.
The architectural project and idea of the building was developed by the company "Milimetras", architect Tomas Rasiulis, the construction manager - UAB "Keista".
