By 2027, a new kindergarten in Balsiai will open in Vilnius at the address Aušrinės st. 10A. Up to 280 children from 1 to 7 years old will be able to attend the kindergarten. The total area of the building is 4 thousand. sq. m, and the value of kindergarten design services is 250 thousand. euros. Vilnius city municipality approved the project of the future kindergarten this month.
It is planned to install a small but technologically advanced swimming pool in the new kindergarten. The depth of the pool can be adjusted as needed: the depth will be adjusted for children up to 7 years old, and the community will be able to use the pool when the kindergarten is closed.
The spaces of the kindergarten will be filled with educational tools using the floor, walls, and ceiling with the help of interior details. The spaces of the territory will be formed according to the principles of universal design, adapting them to various needs and thus creating modern mobility conditions.
During the design, it was aimed to affect the trees to be protected as little as possible and to create a connection with the existing greenery with minimal interventions: the composed building volumes correspond to them on the plot.
The authors of the Vowel Kindergarten project are UAB "Ponama". "When preparing the project, we feel a great responsibility and obligation to fulfill all the ideas created during the competition as they were conceived at the initial stage. With the solutions of this project, we aim for harmony between the growing, maturing child and the surrounding environment: both natural and urbanized, forming his primary worldview. So for us, architects, the best reward for the work done will be the children's joy and warm memories from the times when they attended kindergarten", says Vidmantas Kančiauskas, head of the Ponama company.
