Metso, a Finnish mining and processing technology company, has opened a business service center called Metso Business Services.
Located in the Park Town business center, the center employs nearly 30 financial accounting and logistics specialists. The number of employees is expected to increase to 50 by the end of the year, with further expansion planned next year, the company said.
According to the company, the new center will be an important part of the Metso network, it will develop and automate Metso's financial and logistics processes, and Vilnius was chosen due to the strong culture of service centers and openness to international companies.
Metso Corporation General Services Director Ilkka Metsola says that the center will move to new premises from next year.
Metso provides equipment and services for the processing and supply of natural resources in the mining, quarrying, processing and manufacturing industries.
The company's sales in 2018 amounted to almost 3,2 billion. euros, it employs more than 14 employees in more than 50 countries of the world.
