The start-up logistics process management platform "IZI Logistics" found a hitherto unoccupied niche in the market - it offered an opportunity for logistics companies and suppliers to connect. The company managing the platform "Išskirtinis dinkimas" plans that for small and medium-sized businesses it will be an alternative that has not been seen on the market before when planning product delivery processes.
"We saw the niche by observing the market - her "bad" experience, seeing how inefficiently logistics processes are managed in companies. That's how the idea of independently creating a logistics process management platform and developing it was born", comments Mantas Šarskus, head of the e-commerce sales department of the company "Išskirtinis dinkimas" that manages the platform "IZKI Logistics".
According to him, usually companies that produce their own products or engage in wholesale trade closely cooperate with logistics companies and are constantly looking for the fastest and cheapest ways to deliver cargo to the customer. However, these processes are often complicated and require a lot of effort and human resources, which costs both money and time.
IZI Logistics allows you to automate such processes. The user submits an order to the system to transport cargo from point A to point B, carriers are automatically informed of such a customer's need and immediately submit their offers for cargo transportation. Then the user chooses from all the offers that the carriers do not see among themselves. After choosing the best one and confirming it, the user signs a contract with the carrier, and continues to monitor the entire path of cargo delivery on the IZI Logistics platform until delivery to the customer.
It will also go to neighboring countries
The company invested about 110 thousand euros in the creation of the platform.
"We focus on small and medium-sized businesses, manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials, who have to use the services of logistics companies and are no strangers to the difficulties associated with it," says M. Šarskus.
For example, one of the first customers who actively contributed to the testing of the "IZI Logistics" platform in their activities was "Polivektris" UAB, engaged in plastic processing and production. According to the head of the commercial department of this company, Irina Kazakevič-Dilienė, when transporting 100 tons of cargo per month on average with the help of logistics companies, the company saved four-digit sums using the platform, not even counting the time saved.
Registration is free for carriers and different plans are available for platform users depending on needs. Logistic companies with at least 10 vehicles can register on the platform.
"To ensure quality services, we cooperate with logistics companies that have an impeccable reputation in their field. Also, in the future, customers will have the opportunity to evaluate the services provided by a specific carrier, the rating will be publicly visible to other users on the "IZI Logistics" platform. We plan to provide customers with a convenient warehouse management platform "Warehouse" in the third quarter of this year. At this stage, we want to establish ourselves in the Lithuanian market, and at the end of the year we promise to expand to the neighboring markets - Latvia, Estonia and Poland", comments M. Šarskus.
