Today, 18 thousand people work in Lithuanian startups. talents - the number remains stable (a year ago - 17,8 thousand talents), average salaries grew to 4,1 thousand. euros, 400 euros per year.
"In the short term, we see changes in the markets related to economic uncertainty and the tense geopolitical situation - Lithuanian startups are also adapting to them. Efforts are being made to reduce costs, optimize routine processes and increase profitability in order to grow more efficiently and sustainably in the future. However, in the long term, the Lithuanian startup ecosystem continues to grow steadily and today is one of the leaders in Central and Eastern Europe. According to "Dealroom", evaluating the period from 2018 by 2023, the value of the Lithuanian startup ecosystem accelerated compared to other European regions - it grew more than 7 times, from 1,9 to 13,7 billion. euros", says Inga Langaitė, head of Unicorns Lithuania.

According to the data of the survey of over 120 information and communication technologies (ICT) employers conducted by "Unicorns Lithuania" together with "Work in Lithuania" and "Google", by 2025 preparing to employ at least 7,6 thousand. The number of IT specialists is second to the number employed today. Even 80 percent respondents indicated that by 2025 the need for talent in their companies will grow, 20 percent. - that there is no intention to hire additional new specialists at the time in question. However, none of the 124 companies surveyed indicated that they planned to lay off at least part of their team. 7 out of 10 companies planning additional hiring indicated the intention to create and develop new products or services as the most important reason for the increase in the number of employees, 60 percent. could boast of an increased demand for existing products, and every second one was planning to expand into new markets.
