Technology mogul Elon Musk said Monday that his social network X had suffered a major cyberattack, with users reporting disruptions to the platform.
"A massive cyberattack was carried out (and is still ongoing) against X," Musk said on his platform.
Musk also blamed a cyberattack, without providing any evidence, for the social network's outage last year during a conversation with Donald Trump.
Musk included a message from the DogeDesigner account in his "X" message, which some Reddit users speculate may also belong to the tech mogul.
The report alludes to protests against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which JAV President Donald Trump has trusted Musk, and vandals are destroying Tesla stores, suggesting the cyberattack could be another attack on Musk.
Musk is the CEO of his electric car company, Tesla.
"To carry out an attack of this magnitude would require a lot of (money)," said a message posted by a user calling himself "Jammies."
“Who has the funds to finance this?” he asked.
Musk also claimed that such an attack would require enormous funds, and speculated that it would be the work of a country or a large coordinated group.
According to observers, tens of thousands of users were unable to connect to the social network "X" due to the disruption.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks social media activity and outages, reports of outages on the X platform began early Monday morning, with users in Asia, Europe and North America reporting that they were unable to connect to the platform.
The website claims that more than 40 people reported outages during the peak.
Most reports came from people trying to use X on smartphones, but users connecting via web browsers also noticed problems.
After Musk bought the social network for $2022 billion (€44 billion) in late 40,9, most employees left or were laid off, raising questions about whether the platform was properly secured and stable.
