The experience of those returning to Lithuania shows that it is easier to pursue a career in IT here. Faster career opportunities, greater contribution to interesting and world-class projects, and professional colleagues are advantages noticed by IT specialists who have returned to the country. Observing this trend, "NFQ Academy" is expanding its activities and from now on it will teach programming remotely to Lithuanians living abroad for free and help them to integrate more easily into the labor market after returning to Lithuania.
"For some time now, we have felt interest from Lithuanians living abroad who would prefer to live in Lithuania and would like to start a career in our technology sector. This is why our country is extremely attractive - here specialists have very good opportunities to grow and climb the career ladder, and with their decisions to influence and contribute to the development of global projects. At the same time, considering the standard of living, we are much more attractive in terms of salary prospects. Therefore, the step to expand NFQ Academy outside Lithuania was natural, so we are happy to be able to share our experience with the international Lithuanian community as well", says Paulius Insoda, head of the software development company NFQ Technologies.
From October, training for Lithuanians abroad will take place remotely. Experienced NFQ lecturers will guide them and share their experiences. The training is free of charge, but applicants must complete entry tasks and prove their motivation.
The experience of a returned Lithuanian: from a beginner to a professional in 5 years
Darius Grigalevičius, senior software engineer at NFQ Technologies, is one of the examples of how, while living abroad, one can successfully retrain and establish himself among the country's best IT specialists: "I lived abroad, tried programming on my own and realized that I wanted to study further and continue my career precisely in this sector. I returned to Lithuania, entered the "NFQ Academy" and while I was still studying, I received an offer to join the NFQ team. Today, I not only work on world-class projects, but I also share my experience with Academy students."
According to D. Grigalevičius, it is worth striving for the heights of an IT career in Lithuania: "It is often believed that abroad there is a much higher culture of the IT labor market, better specialists, and finally, higher salaries. However, all this is not necessarily true. IT specialists and their work culture in Lithuania are also at a very high level. For this reason, so many international companies establish branches in Lithuania and willingly accept specialists from our country".
