"Vilnius has a special tradition - every Christmas we present a new 3D Christmas tale, which is seen by over 100 people every year. Vilnius residents and guests of the city. This year in Vilnius, the solemn spirit of the royal Christmas can be felt at the Queen of the Christmas tree On the Cathedral Square. The new 3D fairy tale is a spectacle of bright lights and sensual music of powerful video projectors, which will last 15 minutes and will be shown: 17.05:17.20 - 18.10:18.25, 20.05:20.20 - 20.45:21.00, XNUMX:XNUMX - XNUMX:XNUMX, XNUMX:XNUMX - XNUMX:XNUMX.

"When creating a 3D fairy tale, we were looking for slightly different animation solutions, because it had to be filmed in compliance with the requirements for 3D projections. We aimed for the strongest possible three-dimensionality and theatricality of the characters. During long creative searches, an enchanting three-dimensional space was born. The characters and the environment around them are unique - every detail is animated by hand. For this fairy tale, we created the most characters and animals in our career - as many as 15. The characters' characters are bright, positive, sometimes witty", says Linartas Urniežis, head of the 8-person creative group "Video architects".
The work on creating 3D projections started back in the summer. Compositions, framing, and sketching took the most time. This was followed by changes to the script, analysis of the possibilities of rendering the animation of the scenes. According to the creators, the hardest and most precise work boils down to the end of the project, when right before the dress rehearsal, everything needs to be combined into a single whole, improved and aimed at the best result.

Unlike last year's fairy tales, this year for the first time certain scenes of the Christmas 3D fairy tale will be voiced. This will give the story even more depth, shades and enhance the senses.
The "Snow Queen" music track, which will give the story positivity and festivity, was created by Vygintas Kisevičius.
The show is based on the world famous Danish writer HK Andersen's fairy tale of the same name "The Snow Queen" - it is a story that will excite both children and adults. Before coming to the Cathedral Square to watch the Christmas 3D fairy tale, parents are invited to read this fairy tale to their children at home - this will help them understand the twists and turns of the plot slightly adjusted with new mise-en-scenes.
