Where to hide on Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year for some couples, and for others it causes an allergic reaction. What bothers them the most? Festive Valentine's Day decorations, various stereotypes associated with this holiday and crowds of people. Romantics simply have no place in such conditions. However, it is not necessary to celebrate Valentine's Day the way everyone else does. Especially since Lithuania offers so many unique experiences. Public Institution "Travel in Lithuania" shares ideas for a slightly different romantic weekend.

Valentine's Day has a rather controversial reputation. While many people celebrate it, just as many simply can't stand it. A survey in the United States even showed that as many as 60 percent of people simply don't observe the day. real For them, it is more associated with commerce and the pressure couples feel to spend money and engage in activities that, deep down, don't even interest them.

"I tell people who don't like a certain holiday that they probably don't like the holiday itself, but the ways of celebrating it that have been tried so far. The good news is that Lithuania provides many opportunities to experience this holiday the way we want. Valentine's Day, in turn, is a perfect opportunity to briefly escape from routine and enjoy a romantic time away from other people," says Neringa Sutkaitytė, local tourism expert at the Public Institution "Travel Lithuania".

For couples looking for peace and quiet on Valentine's Day, a travel expert recommends trying glamping. Glamping or otherwise – Forest hotels, both in Lithuania and around the world, have already managed to conquer the hearts of travelers. Offering privacy, comfort, unusual places to stay or experiences, they have suddenly become the exotic that everyone desires. And there is certainly plenty to choose from – treehouses, on the water, under the open sky or in the thick of the forest. Many of these places of rest also offer sauna services. In addition, they are usually located very close to regional parks, reserves and educational trails, where you can experience even more impressions.
