"Baltic Cinema Days" started in Vilnius on Wednesday evening. Dedicated to the most interesting films from the Baltic countries of recent years event First time in Vilnius Beautiful will be held until Friday, August 23. All screenings of "Baltic Cinema Days" are free or open to everyone.
At the opening of the event, invited guests and viewers of Forum Cinemas Vingis watched the Estonian documentary film about the first days of independence - "Rodeo" (dir. Raimo Jõerand, Kiur Aarma, 2018). Rolandas Kvietkauskas, director of the Lithuanian Film Center, welcomed the gathered guests of the opening, being happy about the growing audience of films from the Baltic countries. He emphasized the successful cooperation between the film institutes of the three countries, which has been going on for the third year, in popularizing national films and offering an increasingly diverse program of "Baltic Cinema Days".

One of the directors of the film "Rodeo", Raimo Jõerand, who participated in the opening, said that he was very happy to present the film in Vilnius: "While creating this documentary story, we knew that we would definitely want to show it in other Baltic countries as well, because in the first days and years of independence, political rodeos were held in all Baltic countries .”
Today, "Baltic Cinema Days" will continue, for the first time screenings will be held in two cities, films will be shown on three cinema screens: in Vilnius "Forum Cinemas Vingis" and the National Martynas Mažvydas Library, and in Kaunas - in the "Romuva" cinema center.
A total of 7 neighboring films will be shown in Lithuania during the "Baltic Cinema Days": three Latvian and even four Estonian feature films, documentaries, animated films. All films in Lithuania are shown in the original language with Lithuanian and English subtitles.
