Jau May 15, On Thursday, one of the most prominent concerts of this season will take place at the National Art Gallery in Vilnius – the festival "Vilnius Spring Festival" will appear on stage internationally recognized, „Grammy“ Latvian State Chamber Orchestra awarded Sinfonietta Riga together with one of the most talented violinists of the young generation Daniil Bulayev.
This concert – an exclusive opportunity to experience a celebration of the highest level of contemporary classics: works by composers from the Baltic countries will be performed, intertwining the sounds of nature, a mood of concentration, holiday rhythms, and even tango motifs.
Sinfonietta Riga – this is "Grammy Award The Latvian State Chamber Orchestra, renowned for its exceptional sound quality and conceptual programs, won a Grammy in 2014 together with the Latvian Radio Choir for their recording of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt's Adam's Lament. Daniil Bulayev Today, Daniil Bulayev is one of the most prominent names on the Latvian classical music scene. Having started his solo career at the age of five, he has already performed with orchestras such as Kremerata Baltica, the Latvian National and Opera Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra. His performances have been heard in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, China, Argentina and Armenia. Last year, in 2024, Daniil Bulayev won the Latvian Music Award for the performance of the year - as a conductor, stage director and violin soloist.

The program of this concert will include: Erkki-Sven Tüür's "Action-Passion-Illusion", Pēteris Butāns' "Holiday Music" for violin, strings and percussion, Raminta Šerkšnytė's "De profundis", Pēteris Vasks' "Cantabile" for strings, Wojciech Kilar's "Orawa" and other works, conducted by the famous Latvian conductor, artistic director of the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra Guntis Kuzma.
