In the jubilee 30th concert season, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, led by the artistic director and chief. conducted by conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius, presents not only a whole bouquet of the most famous soloists, but also exclusive works of the classical gold fund. One of these is the majestic one GiuseppeVerdi's Requiem, December 14 ringing in the Vilnius Palace of Congresses, and on December 15 – and at the Kaunas State Philharmonic. You don't have to wait long to hear this piece - the last seats are already sold out for the event, which attracted a huge audience.
And not for nothing - to perform G. Verdi's "Requiem" maestro G. Rinkevičius gathered an impressive quartet of soloists from the Lithuanian Opera: Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre prima donna soprano Sandra Janušaitė, charismatic mezzo-soprano Ieva Prudnikovaitė of the Essen Opera Theater in Germany, tenor Edgars Montvidas and bass-baritone Kostas Smorigins, who are welcome on the world's most famous stages. The Kaunas State Choir (conductor Petras Bingelis) will perform an impressive choral part at the concert, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by the orchestra's artistic director and chief. conductor G. Rinkevičius.
G. Verdi's (1813-1901) Requiem, one of the most monumental pieces of music in the form of a mournful mass, played during the Advent period, was created in memory of the Italian poet and novelist Alessandro Manzoni. One of the most performed choral works in the world, it remains to this day a unique testament to the composer's talent, reflecting his dramatic and psychological genius unfettered by conventional theatrical limitations. Because the mass created at the height of the composer's fame never had a liturgical purpose - this magnificent concert work primarily embodies the duel between life and death within man and in the Universe.
