Promising that "Zero Live Show" will stand out not only with music, but also with unseen decorations, director Emilis Vėlyvis was not joking - he will roll a life-size tank onto the stage. The fruit of eight people's creativity is not different from the outside of a real tank and on concert stages in Vilnius, Beautiful, Klaipėda and Panevėžys will be transported by a 13-meter-long truck.
"My show, so why can't I bring a tank to it?", - joked E. Vėlyvis. "There will be not only a tank here, but we will also mention such characters as Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Beria, Khrushchev, Andropov, Garbachev and others," added the director.
The plastic model of the Soviet tank YS2 has stood out in history as one of the most valued Russian tanks, one of the first to reach Berlin during the Second World War. It was not chosen as one of the attributes of the "Zero Live Show" by chance - one of the five parts shown in this show will remind of the most important events in Lithuania during the Soviet era.
"It doesn't symbolize anything, it's just an image from the occupation period: a tank, pioneers, Komsomol youth, communists and otherwise just good people. Everyone knows this story very well, I will not reveal anything new, I will only convey certain plots with unexpected images and music. And I will remind you of what some may have already forgotten. But this will not be the only topic of the show - and other important Lithuanian events will receive attention here - from the victory of Independence to emigration", said E. Vėlyvis.
According to him, this will be the first tank that made Lithuanians dance. "It's better to occupy more space near the stage, because there will be such a hell here that only the best dancers and the ones who can withstand humor will survive," the director warned.
The creator of the tank model is the artist Juozas Laivys, who in 2007 moved from Vilnius to Plungė district, where he created the largest "Zero Live Show" decoration in his yard.
"After the performances in the arenas of four cities, the tank will travel back to the Plunge district, to the Art Works cemetery in the village of Narvaiši, where, I hope, the locals will not be frightened and will not support another occupation," said J. Laivys.
Zero Live Show's integrated storyline will reflect the last 30 years of Lithuania. Through the prism of music and black humor, the most memorable, painfully familiar, funny or poignant situations will be presented. The Soviet era, gaining independence, wild crimes of the 90s, emigration, elections - all these topics were accompanied by Lithuanian or foreign hits in their time, and the creators will remind the audience of all of them in an unexpected form.
In total, 17 of the most popular pieces from different eras will be performed during the show. During them, the images that started on the biggest stage screen in Lithuania of all time will be continued by the action on the stage.
October 11 film, music and dark humor fiesta "Zero Live Show" will start in Vilnius "Siemens Arena" on October 19. – in Klaipėda "Lighthouse Arena", October 26. – in Panevėžys "Cido Arena" and on October 31. "Zalgiris Arena" in Kaunas. Ticket partner of the event is "Tiketa".
Director Emilis Vėlyvis made four full-length films in Lithuania: "Zero", "Zero II", "Zero 3" and "Redirected / For Lithuania!". All these films in Lithuania received enormous attention from the audience.
