A music party in which the audience will decide the style of the music and even the language of the performance - this is how it presents itself in a format never seen before in Lithuania event Red Bull Jukebox, March 28 next year. taking place in Vilnius. There will be well-known songs and a group of famous performers of the Lithuanian music scene, including one of the most prominent creators of Lithuanian electronic music, Jonas Nainys-Jovani.
A challenge for the performers and organizers, but a pleasure for the audience
Music artist Jonas Nainys, better known as DJ Jovani, who recently gathered a crowd of fans at the hottest disco, admits that the Red Bull Jukebox event is a challenge for all the performers on stage, but it is a great pleasure for the audience. "Imagine - you, as a viewer, can vote for 'Slowly Setting Sun' to be played drum and bass style in Spanish." This is a unique and unique opportunity for both the performers and the audience to hear well-known works anew," says DJ Jovani.
The performer believes that it will be an impressive experience for the audience. "With this event, we are unlocking a concept never heard of in Lithuania. For us, the organizers of this show, this means that we have to solve many challenges and integrate innovations, but I feel a lot of trust and responsibility - I want to implement all ideas to the maximum. I'm happy doing what I'm doing, and I believe that this opportunity to participate in Red Bull Jukebox is an appreciation of my long musical journey," shares the artist.
Paulius Butėnas, representative of Live Nation Lietuva and one of the organizers of the event, notes that this intriguing Red Bull Jukebox format is rarely held on world stages. "The fact that it will take place in Lithuania is already an achievement," P. Butėnas says. According to him, an event with a non-standard concept, the course of which is dictated by the gathered audience, requires creativity and flexibility both in preparation and in working with the performers and the entire organizational team. "Today, most of the world music being created fits into two minutes, and Jon's music is no exception. For this format of the event, we will have to adapt all the works, for some we will have to prepare even several versions. In addition, all the pieces will be adapted for a live band," one of the organizers tells about the intricacies of the organization.
A novelty - viewers will be able to vote in three stages
According to the representative of "Live Nation Lietuva" Mr. Butėnas, the most professional team in Lithuania takes care of the technical implementation of the project. She will also have to take care of the main directorial decision of this event - to ensure smooth audience voting. On online platforms and social spaces, viewers will be able to judge the performance style of the selected artist's song, choose the language in which the piece will be performed. With the last vote at the event, the audience will decide which songs will be played in the final part.
DJ Jovani has no doubt that he will solidly heat up the atmosphere of the event. I really expect an electrified atmosphere here, which we will ignite with quality and unheard music.
