As the third world war approaches in Ukraine anniversary, LRT will focus all its attention on Ukraine on February 23. The special program will start in the morning - viewers will be able to listen to exclusive stories about the reality of war throughout the day, watch a concert "Freedom Shines" and the final event of the "Radarom!" campaign.
LRT, together with the organizations "Blue / Yellow", "Laisvės TV" and "Stiprūs kartu" will be calling for donations throughout the day to ensure that as many urgently needed drones and anti-drones as possible reach Ukraine. Until February 24, you can contribute by calling 1890 (donation – 5 euros) and on the website radarom.lt.
A special telethon broadcast on LRT TELEVISION and on the LRT.lt portal will start on Sunday at 9 a.m. The broadcast will be hosted by LRT journalists Rasa Tapinienė, Deividas Jursevičius, Kristupas Naraškevičius, Audra Avižiūtė, Ignas Andriukevičius, Marius Eidukonis, Dovilė Šeduikytė-Suslavičienė, Agnė Skamarakaitė, Jonas Deveikis, Nemira Pumprickaitė, Indrė Makaraitytė, Mindaugas Jackevičius. LRT RADIO listeners will hear the telethon broadcast live after the 13 p.m. news until 13.30:XNUMX p.m.
Journalists will communicate in the studio with various people who were touched by the war - veterans, photographers and journalists who capture the brutal reality, female volunteers, specialists who work with victims. Viewers will also be treated to reports about the impact the war had on different areas of life and people's destinies.
In addition to the special telethon, from 15.45:XNUMX p.m. LRT TELEVISION viewers will be able to watch the final episode of the documentary series "Abducted" about the testimonies of Ukrainian children who were kidnapped and taken to Russia.
From 18 p.m. on LRT TELEVISION, LRT RADIO and on the LRT.lt portal, live broadcast from Lukiškės Square will be held. concert "Freedom shines 2025. Radarom!". The traditional support concert will be hosted by Edmundas Jakilaitis and Gerūta Griniūtė. During the concert, Vidas Bareikis, Ieva Narkutė, Kastytis Kerbedis, Gamka, Bjelle, Iglė, Monika Liu, Monika Pundziūtė, Jeronimas Milius, the groups "Abudu", "ba." and others will express their support for Ukraine.
At 20 p.m. the final concert of the "Radarom!" telethon will take place, hosted by Eglė Daugėlaitė and Andrius Tapinas. The live broadcast will feature touching stories, conversations, reports from Ukraine, and musical performances by Amoralu, Andrius Mamontovas, G&G Sindikatas, "Katarsis", Rūta Mur, Leonas Somovas, and other performers. The event will be available to watch on LRT TELEVISION and the LRT.lt portal, as well as to listen to on LRT RADIO.
It will be possible to not give up and help Ukraine not only on Sunday, but also on the anniversary of the war – February 24. After that, the "Radarom!" campaign will reach the finish line and the total amount of money for which drones and anti-drones will be purchased for Ukraine will be revealed.
