Already in October to the capital St. The much-missed singing poetry festival "Tai - aš" returns to St. Catherine's Church. The music and poetry festival, which will be held for the sixteenth time, will traditionally try to bring different peoples and generations together through creativity and will give many good emotions. Organized by the Culture and Education Center "Vilnius Mokytoių Namai". event on October 18-20 in the capital, the stars of Lithuanian singing poetry, as well as famous creators from France, Ireland, and Belgium, will be presented to the audience.

Music, poetry and theater are one

The "Tai - aš" festival promises to start very spectacularly - at the opening concert, which will be held on October 18, the audience will be invited to meet outstanding and missed performers and creators at the concert "Solo. And a friend." Kostas Smoriginas, Andrius Kulikauskas, Ilona Balsytė - the name of the performance of these beloved artists was not chosen by chance. All the heroes of the evening have a common denominator - theater. The creative paths of these artists were and still are intertwined in it.

Ilona Balsytė and Andrius Kulikauskas worked together in the legendary "Dainos Theater", and met Kostas Smorigins in the highly successful duet performance "Love Letters". Martynas Kuliavas, the guitarist accompanying the bards, who recently joined the creative group of K. Smorigins, together with Ilona Balsyte created a theatrical a concert "Streets of Dreams", then the concert "Solo. And together" viewers can expect creative surprises performed both solo and together.

This year, one of the most fascinating songs of the Tai festival will be revived - I" accents - "Night stays". On October 19, the stage of the Living Room of the Vilnius Teachers' House will be given over to the young generation of bards, who are characterized not only by enthusiasm, but also by talent and creativity. We invite songwriters and performers and poets to register on the Facebook account of the event.

It will unite different nations

The main idea of the festival is to unite people through music. It doesn't matter what nationality, race, age they are. To be held on October 19 concert "From all my heart, from the wide world" will be like a sparkling stained-glass window, made up of songs coming from different corners of Europe and sounding in various languages. Each listener will find something that resonates with their heart. Maybe it will be the pensive and sometimes ironic songs of Gediminas Storpirškis or the transparent melodies of the band "Baltas varnas", or maybe after the concert you won't be able to stop humming the witty Sami songs of Povilas Girdenis. St. The sincere romances of Liuba Nazarenko, the songs of the band from Ireland "The Blue Back Waves" enriched with Celtic color, the melodies of the Belgian artists Ronny De Rauw and Ruben Schelstraete and the youthful bardic performances of the duo of artists from France Ganance Bauhain and Daniel Jeanbrau will set you in a romantic and dreamy mood. Even if you are not deeply interested in the genre of singing poetry, it is definitely worth hearing this very interesting, colorful and acclaimed company of foreign bards.

All performances are very unique and different, but they are united by what is the axis of the bardic identity - sincerity and a message that goes straight to the heart of the listener, no matter in what language it was sung.

Children and parents will sing together

The festival "It's me" won't be forgotten by even the smallest this year - on October 20, St. The concert "Bards for children" will be held in St. Catherine's Church. Everybody sings!", in which the children's favorite bard Giedrius Arbačiauskas will invite the little ones to go to the magical city together with the Traveling Musician. The musical adventure journey will feature songs written by Ramutė Skučaitė, Tomas Dirgėla, Henrik Radauskas, as well as playful interpretations of well-known songs. The next musical meeting will be no less memorable. It happens that songs become more famous than their creators. Maybe not everyone knows Laura Remeikienė well, but her song "Tuk tuk, širdele" is definitely on the playlist of all little listeners.

The entire impressive cycle of concerts will be closed in the evening of the same day by the closing concert "This is us", which will also unite different generations. In it, listeners will be invited to enjoy the songs of their beloved bards and artists, which they perform with their family members. Vytautas V. Landsbergis will perform at the concert together with his daughters Severija and Elena, and Vidas Petkevičius with his godson Martyn Kuliavus. Multi-instrumentalist Julius Vaicenavičius, a member of the popular group "Kūjeliai", Liucija Vaicenavičiūtė and mother Dalia Vaicenavičienė will share their author's creations from the large Vaicenavičius family at the concert. Giedrius Arbačiauskas will perform together with his wife Agne, a professional cellist, and the group.
