Egidijus Dragūnas, the leader of the SEL group, sitting on the toilet, dressed in white and wearing a crown of thorns on his head - these are the scenes that ended the filming of "Zero Live Show". These images of the director Emil Vėlyvis will soon be used in the arenas of big Lithuanian cities, where theatrical black humor will be held in October concert - "Zero Live Show".
Unlike the previous works of E. Vélyvis, this one will have only part of the pre-recorded material, which will turn into a live show on stage.
The show's creators say it's impossible to categorize this event - it's not a motion picture, and it won't be some 6D version of Titanic, where viewers watch the ship sink for a long time.
"Forget stagnation on stage, there won't be a slowly sinking Titanic here, but we will have a real tank." And many other moving, rising, burning, playing details. Everything is encrypted in the name. Everyone who has seen the "Zero" trilogy knows what "Zero" means. "Live" will be a live spectacle, a fiesta here and now. "Show" - because there will be a show that has never been seen in Lithuanian arenas. Even E. Dragūnas turns into God here in order to sacrifice himself to the audience. It will be the brightest mass of the show for the ears, eyes and soul", said E. Vëlyvis.
According to him, there was no analogue of this kind of show combining different genres not only in Lithuania, but also in the whole world. "This is a unique black humor project combining cinema, music, theater, special effects, stunts and dance. The show required a lot of time, will and resources. The project estimate is half a million euros. Many people ask to describe the concept of the event, but it is really difficult to unambiguously name the genre of "Zero Live Show". It's life, a circus and a festival on stage. Is it clearer?", commented the director.
According to him, the stage will also include time travel. "We will raise a little with Komsomol enthusiasts, and with punks, and with party perdyls, with deputies, with delegates and degenerates of structures and prosecutors' offices, with Gariūnai boys and all those who still have raspberry and brilliant green suits somewhere in their closet. We will also visit Saint Peter, who would like to change his name to, for example, Egidijus, because of the other Peter who is often mentioned these days," said E. Vęlyvis.
Next to E. Dragūnas, who has turned into God, the video and photos show another important character of "Zero Live Show" - Joker. A hero whose laughter on stage will not save him from death.
The creators' promise - everyone will dance in this show: both those who will be on the stage, and those who will stand on the parterre, and those who will not sit in the stands. Zero Live Show's integrated storyline will reflect the last 30 years of Lithuania. Through the prism of music and black humor, the most memorable, painfully familiar, funny or poignant situations will be presented: the Soviet era, the victory of independence, wild crimes of the 90s, emigration, elections.
