Works by Jewish and Lithuanian composers will be performed at the initiative of Vytautas Magnus University Academy of Music (VDU MA) professors Audronė Eitmanavičiūtė, Sabina Martinaitytė and their students.
"War, wherever it happens, is always a tragedy. Dead people, crippled destinies, destroyed houses - all this leaves a deep impression on the living, future generations. In difficult times for friends, it is very important to sympathize with them, support them, express support and help them not only with words, but also with actions. This applies not only to individuals, it is no less relevant to states and nations. We support Israel and support its people," says Simonas Streltsovas, director of the Vilnius Gaon Jewish History Museum.
Jewish and Lithuanian songs will be performed at the concert Ministry of Culture prize winners, students of VDU MA professor Sabina Martinaitytė's master class, winners of international competitions E. Bagdonaitė, P. Katiliavas, U. Stražnickaitė, I. Vaivadaitė, L. Dabriškaitė. Pianist Audronė Eitmanavičiūtė will accompany.
Concert will take place on October 25 18 p.m. Vilniaus Gaon Jewish History Museum (Naugarduko St. 10)
