On May 30, Vilnius residents are invited to stop, say hello to their neighbors, and take time for fellowship – the capital will host Neighbors' Day. This is a city-wide event event, which aims to bring together people who live next to each other but often remain strangers.
"Do you greet your neighbors? Do you know their names? Sometimes the closest people – those we meet in the stairwell or in the yard – remain completely unknown," he reminds Vilnius city municipality.
The event will start at 18 p.m. in various neighborhoods of the capital. In courtyards, squares and community spaces, Vilnius residents will enjoy packed dinners, music, activities for children and the warm company of neighbors. Each event location promises to be unique, and the atmosphere will be created by the enthusiasm of communities and neighborhoods.
Neighbors' Day is organized by the Vilnius - European Green Capital 2025 initiative together with local communities. The city municipality encourages residents not only to come, but also to bring a piece of themselves - a homemade cake, a cheese plate or just a good mood.
