Mangalica – a Hungarian treasure, valued worldwide
Authentic variety, unique taste

Mangalica is an old breed of pig originating in Hungary, distinguished by its appearance, fat structure and unique taste. Until the beginning of the 20th century, it was very common on Hungarian farms, but later, due to modern meat production and changing eating habits, the breed almost disappeared.
Thanks to the joint efforts of Hungarian and Spanish experts, Mangalica was preserved and today is once again valued as a top quality product in the gourmet world.
The breed is slow-growing, but it is this, combined with its free-range environment, that gives the meat its incredible juiciness, marbling, and depth of flavor. Whether grilled or smoked, Mangalica is always a top-notch delicacy.
Currently, four Mangalica breeds are distinguished: blond, red, nightingale, and black.
