February 29, Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m. The Bank of Lithuania invites you to an Open Day at the Bank of Lithuania building in Vilnius (Gedimino Ave. 6). Here, visitors will be able to see the old storage rooms of litas, the board meeting hall of the Bank of Lithuania, and test the armored cars used to transport euros. The first steps of central banking 30 years ago will also be remembered, and valuable prizes can be won during quizzes.
This event is dedicated to the 30th birthday of the Bank of Lithuania - the central bank was established in 1990. on March 1, and began its activities immediately after the declaration of Lithuanian Independence.
During the open day, Vilnius residents and guests of the city will have a unique opportunity to visit the Palace of the Bank of Lithuania, which was built specifically for banking purposes at the end of the XNUMXth century.
